Solstice provides large institutions, such as colleges & universities, medical and health care facilities, municipalities, residential communities, and corporate campuses with the operational plans and implementation tools to develop transportation systems. We provide the solutions to improve efficiency of existing systems, identify passenger objectives, implement transportation technology, and evaluate performance of service providers.
Mitch Skyer has been the Senior Consultant and President of Solstice Transportation Group since January, 2007. His prior experiences with Cognisa Transportation for five years through 2006, leading business development and new customer service implementation, and with MCI for seven years, have given him a unique combination of corporate management, and operational insight. Mr. Skyer lives in Atlanta, GA with his family, and serves on multiple boards of directors for both industry and volunteer organizations. He earned his MBA from the University of Buffalo, and is an active speaker at trade shows and conferences within the parking and transit industry.

As a company, we attend and participate in a variety of educational seminars and conferences provided by industry leading associations including, but not limited to, the International Parking Institute, BusCon, the American Public Transit Association, the Parking Association of Georgia, and the Carolinas Parking Association.
Solstice is a proud member of the American Public Transit Association (APTA), International Parking Institute (IPI), Mid South Parking and Transportation Association (MSPTA), Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC), National Association of College and University Auxiliary Services (NACAS), Transit Research Board (TRB), and The Parking Association of Georgia (PAG). Mitch Skyer is currently serving his second two year term as a trustee on the Board of Directors for the Parking Association of Georgia, and he has just been added as a “Friend of the Committee” for the Transit Research Board Committee AP050 - Bus Transit Systems.

Mitch Skyer has worked for organizations on Fortune’s 100 Largest Companies list, as well as small startup operations. Mitch earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Law & Society from Binghamton University (SUNY), and his MBA, concentrating in Marketing Management, from the University of Buffalo (SUNY).
Mitch is a well regarded speaker on key transportation planning and technology issues. He has been a program presenter for the Parking Association of Georgia, New England Parking Association, University of Rochester Meeting of the Minds Program, and at the 2007 International Parking Institute annual conference in Dallas, Texas.
